Richard Harvey will provide the IRS with expert guidance on tax administration and policy matters
The US Internal Revenue Service has looked to PricewaterhouseCoopers to fill
the position of senior adviser.
Richard Harvey, currently a partner at the firm serving as US banking and
capital markets team leader has been appointed in the position to assist IRS
commissioner Douglas Shulman.
As senior adviser, he will maintain a close partnership between the
commissioner’s office and the business units responsible for key programs in his
areas of expertise concerning larger and mid-sized companies. He will also
provide expert guidance on tax administration and policy matters.
Harvey brings with him expertise in financial services tax issues and
financial accounting for income taxes domestically and abroad.
‘Dick Harvey brings tremendous experience and expertise on accounting and tax
issues to the IRS. International and corporate tax issues are at the centre of
our strategic agenda,’ said Shulman.
