Scottish accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael has named Andrew Shepherd as chairman
ANDREW SHEPHERD has been appointed chairman at Johnston Carmichael, one of the largest firms in Scotland.
Shepherd (pictured) is currently the managing partner of the firm’s Edinburgh office and succeeds James Campbell. He joined the firm in 1994, becoming partner in 1997. He specialises in taxation advice to professional services, family-owned businesses and high net worth individuals.
Sandy Manson, CEO Johnston Carmichael, said: “James Campbell was always going to be a hard act to follow but in Andrew we have an outstanding successor.
“Andrew pioneered the opening of our Edinburgh office eight years ago so he knows exactly what it takes to build a strong team and practice.”
Campbell stepped down as part of an agreed “succession plan” and will continue as partner.
Johnston Carmichael has ten offices across Scotland, 46 partners and more than 400 staff.
