MacIntyre Hudson sells Mesh Computers in pre-pack

ADMINISTRATORS FROM MACINTYRE HUDSON have sold PC manufacturer Mesh Computers to distributor PC Peripherals.

Paul Davis and Adrian Dante, principal and director respectively at MacIntyre Hudson, were appointed administrators on 31 May.

A pre-pack entails marketing a business prior to it entering administration and it sold immediately after making itself insolvent.

Davis, said: “This deal was reliant on a quick turnaround so we had to work hard to find the right buyer in a short space of time – while maximising the return for creditors.”

He added that the rise in popularity of iPads and other tablets over laptops and PCs means the IT sector has to adapt. The firm has been advising a number of businesses on how to maximise profits and ensure they survive.

Mesh Computers was a independent PC manufacturer established more than 25 years ago.

PC Peripherals, the computer distributors, bought the brand and other assets and have also agreed to provide hardware support to Mesh’s existing customers within their warranty periods.
