John Cowie has left Seymour Pierce, the UK investment bank and stockbroker, to join Reeves as a corporate finance partner.
Cowie was director of corporate finance at Seymour Pierce. Before that he spent more than 20 years at Smith & Williamson, the top ten accountancy firm, where he was a senior corporate finance director.
He has specialised in advising support-services companies on mergers and acquisitions and refinancing.
Cowie said: “Reeves has grown substantially in the last three years and I am delighted to be joining to strengthen the corporate finance practice. With over 40 partners and 300 staff, we have a really exciting opportunity ahead of us and I look forward to working with all of the partners to develop a successful franchise across the South East.”
