New CIPFA council unveiled

ELECTIONS have been carried out for 11 positions on the governing council of the Council of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) for the coming year.

Five of the winning candidates successfully defended their seats, while another five have sat on the council before. Mark Day, CFO at Community Health Partnerships, was the only winning candidate new to the council.

The council will be led by president Sir Tony Redmond and vice president Jaki Salisbury, who will attend the CIPFA AGM on 3 July at the CIPFA annual conference. Ian Perkin retains his role as Hon Treasurer, while Chris Bilsland will sit on the council as the immediate past president. Additional co-options are still to be confirmed by the elected council members, taking the number of council members to 41.
