A DIRECTOR from RSM Tenon has joined Haines Watts to expand its range of services to Scotland’s owner-managed business sector.
Mark McRae, an owner-managed business specialist who has been an audit director at Tenon since 2008, joins Haines Watts as a business services director in its Glasgow office.
This is the fourth senior appointment by Haines Watts in the last seven months – late last year, ex PwC partner Ian Durie joined to head up the corporate finance department; Annette Menzies joined from French Duncan in March to lead a new business recovery department; and Marc Shenken was appointed as the firm’s new head of tax in May.
McRae, who is an expert in the healthcare, retail and manufacturing sectors, has previously been a director with Deloitte and a partner with PKF.
Commenting on his appointment, McRae said: “I was impressed with the drive, energy and ambition at Haines Watts and am delighted to be joining the firm at an exciting stage in its development.”
Haines Watts recently announced plans to grow fee income in Scotland by more than 50% to over £7m by 2014, and is recruiting in order to support the expansion strategy.
