Listed firm Begbies Traynor acquires Sheffeld-based business recovery firm Hamiltons
Begbies Traynor has acquired Sheffield-based business recovery firm Hamiltons for an undisclosed sum.
Hamiltons was run by two partners who will now take up partnership at Begbies Traynor. The acquired firm specialises in all types of insolvency procedures, as well as advice on business recovery.
It is hoped the latest acquisition will grow Begbies’ presence in the South Yorkshire market.
Ric Traynor, executive chairman of Begbies Traynor, said: “The acquisition of Hamiltons represents an opportunity to acquire a successful and well regarded business that fits well with our existing operations.
“It is consistent with our strategy of considering both organic investment and acquisition opportunities, principally in the insolvency and restructuring sector.”
