A FORMER UK AMBASSADOR has joined the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors.
David Lyscom, who worked previously as a UK ambassador to the OECD and the International Energy Agency, has been appointed by the IIA as a policy director.
Lyscom’s career has involved key international policy-making bodies such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and worked as a UK ambassador to Slovakia. For three years, he was chief executive at the International Schools Council, which works with 1,200 schools both in the UK and overseas.
Lyscom will report to the Institute’s chief executive, Dr Ian Peters, as a part of his executive management team.
Of his position, Lyscom said: “My role will be to lead the Institute’s interaction with key policymakers, regulators and the profession to ensure that the potential of internal audit is fully realised.”
