Deal sees 17 staff move from Tenon to Saffery's
SAFFERY CHAMPNESS has confirmed its acquisition of RSM Tenon’s specialist film and television unit, as first reported by Accountancy Age.
The 17-strong team will join Julian Hedley, who left Tenon in January 2011 to head Saffery’s sports and entertainment unit. The team will start at the firm with immediate effect and includes ex-RSM Tenon director John Graydon and Nigel Burke.
The film and media unit at RSM has provided advisory services on tax and compliance as well as audit services for blockbusters including The King’s Speech, The Dark Knight, Love Actually and Casino Royale, among others.
A spokeswoman for RSM Tenon said the firm will continue to operate a film and television unit.
Saffery Champness managing partner Jonathan Fox (pictured) said: “This will help us to develop a stronger and more rounded offering, and sports and entertainment clients can look forward to a continuation of the same excellent service that they have come to expect from us.”
