BALDWINS ACCOUNTANTS has expanded by acquiring a leading Black Country practice.
The firm, one of the Midland’s largest independent accountancy firms, has bought Gravestock & Owen, based in Willenhall.
Baldwins will take on two more premises in the town, expanding its remit to ten offices across the west and east Midlands.
This acquisition was seen as a natural move for both firms and will further strengthen Baldwins’ reach in the area, said a spokesman for the firm.
John Baldwin, who built up Baldwins over 40 years, said the firm still has “other areas” in which they want to expand and clients can expect “further acquisitions in the next 12 months”.
This is the firm’s fourth acquisition in the last 12 months – following its previous buying spree in Coventry, Nottingham and Kinver – totalling 17 overall.
Gravestock & Owen was founded in 1974 and employs 25 staff.
Malcolm Owen, co-founder of Gravestock & Owen, said the business has grown over the years but it was time to “move it to a new level”.
