Bristol’s deputy mayor merges firm with Milsted Langdon

THE DEPUTY MAYOR of Bristol has merged his accounting practice with larger firm Milsted Langdon as a result of being asked to continue his civic duties.

Geoff Gollop, who founded Geoff Gollop & Co in 2003, said merging with Milsted Langdon was “the most sensible course of action” after he was asked to continue in his current role as the city’s elected deputy mayor.

“I wanted to ensure that my clients continued to receive the same high level of service that they have come to expect, even if I was personally having to devote more time to my civic duties,” Gollop said.

“I felt that Milsted Langdon held similar views to mine in terms of its personal approach and the quality of service and work provided to clients.”

Under the merger, which completed on 31 May, all staff and clients from Geoff Gollop & Co have transferred to Milsted Langdon’s office, with Gollop joining as a director.
