Finance executive Peter Harris takes Communisis audit committee chairman role
THE AUDIT COMMITTEE chair of Communisis has been filled by an experienced finance director.
Peter Harris has been appointed to the position of non-executive director and chairman of the audit Committee, effective 1 July.
Harris, who is currently interim finance director of Bell Pottinger, has more than 30 years of financial experience with a number of listed and private companies.
Prior to his position at Bell Pottinger, Harris was finance director of Engine, the UK’s largest privately owned marketing services group. He has also served as finance director at 19 Entertainment, the business behind the American Idol brand, and previously was group FD at Capital Radio, a role he held for over a decade.
Chairman of Communisis, Peter Hickson, said of the appointment: “I am delighted to be welcoming Peter to Communisis. He has extensive experience as a finance director in the marketing services and media sectors and his experience will further strengthen and diversify our board.”
Communisis, the LSE-listed customer communication services, had profit growth of 27% after tax for 2012, to £5.2 million, from £4.1 million a year earlier.
