A PARTNER at Midlands’ business advisory firm PKF Cooper Parry has been appointed as the vice chair of the ICAEW’s insolvency and restructuring group.
Tyrone Courtman, head of the firm’s business restructuring recovery and insolvency practice, said the role will boost PKF Cooper Parry’s credibility as a leader in restructuring and insolvency practices in the Midlands.
“I’m personally thrilled to have been appointed to the role of vice chair,” he said. “The group also aims to enhance public confidence in the insolvency practice of its members more generally.
“We offer considered comment in response to, for example, the debate about insolvency practitioner fees, the effects of interest rate hedging product mis-selling, ethics and conflicts of interest and have also had input into the consultation around
the proposed consolidation of the insolvency act and rules.”
The ICAEW is the largest of six recognised professional bodies for the licensing of insolvency practitioners in the UK.
