EY hires Rawal as new financial services transaction partner

EY has appointed Ajay Rawal as a partner in its financial services transaction advisory practice.

Rawal joins the Big Four firm from Alvarez & Marsal, where he was a partner in the European financial industry advisory services group.

He has 15 years of experience in financial services and since the financial crisis has focused on transactions and restructuring within the banking sector.

Ajay has advised national authorities, government agencies and banks across Europe on how they reshape their financial systems and individual banks, as well as on the strategic repositioning of bank assets.

David Barker, EMEIA head of financial services transaction advisory services, says: “We are thrilled to have Ajay join the transaction practice. At a time when there is so much uncertainty and change in the banking sector across the Eurozone, it is fundamental that we have skilled and experienced individuals like Ajay to help guide the market into more stable times.”
