MHA MacIntyre Hudson merges with Shoesmiths

TOP 20 accountants MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s Birmingham office has completed a merger with Edgbaston outfit, Shoesmiths.

The merger follows the union just a year ago with Bloomer Heaven and the recent addition of MHA Reid Williams in Reading.

Shoesmith’s main service offerings audit, accounting, personal and business tax advice, serving clients in a variety of sectors mainly within Birmingham and the West Midlands.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson chairman Rakesh Shaunak, said: “Birmingham continues to be an exciting marketplace and we continue to see it as a growth area. Our Birmingham office is providing us with a strong presence in the Midlands region.

This merger will provide access to a wider suite of services for Shoesmith clients and enhanced career and development prospects for all members of the expanding team. This comes 3 months after the merger with Reid Williams in Reading, and shows our keen desire to grow in key locations”.

Shoesmith partner Elaine Shoesmith and five staff will relocate to MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s Rutland House offices in the Colmore Business District from 1 April.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson was ranked 17 in the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 in 2015, with £44.8m in fee income.
