Record number of ACA students pass ICAEW exam

A RECORD number of ACA students have passed the latest ICAEW exams in which 5,491 students sat the professional level exams – the highest sitting to date.

The pass rates were consistently high in the latest series of Professional Level exams (for June 2016 sitting, which was the first sitting of the new business planning: banking and business planning: Insurance modules with a pass rate of 91.2% and 87.5% respectively.

ACA students also excelled in tax compliance (88%) and business strategy (89%).

ICAEW executive director of learning & professional development, Mark Protherough, said: “We are really proud of yet again another fantastic set of results. I would like to congratulate all of our students who are demonstrating that businesses look set to be in safe hands with such a promising stream of future chartered accountants coming through.”
