Why did McDonnell make the Financial Power List 2018?
John McDonnell was named 34th in the Accountancy Age Financial Power List 2018:
It’s a busy year for those in parliament, and McDonnell will be looking to capitalise on any perceived moment of weakness displayed by those in government. The Spring Statement will be the first big opportunity for McDonnell to cause a stir, and he’ll be pushing back all the way on any policy that looks to favour big business or the wealthy. He’ll be dreaming of another U-turn at some point in 2018, and that’s most certainly not beyond the realm of possibility.
