BDO has appointed a new head of digital and innovation as the firm increases investment in its digital transformation strategy.
Adrian Wong joins the firm from AstraZeneca where he spent three years as creative director, responsible for the company’s technology transformation strategy, innovation and thought leadership.
At BDO, Wong will support the development of digital solutions for the firm’s high-growth clients and BDO’s own business operations. The firm is currently progressing 20 project plans as part of its digital transformation strategy.
Chief information officer Stuart Walters said: “As technology continues to evolve at an unstoppable pace, it’s essential we are fully-equipped with the right knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on the markets we and our clients operate in.
“Adrian’s skills in both the design and marketing of digital products will play a huge part in helping us to achieve our digital growth goals. His experience will be an invaluable addition as we continue to establish a culture of innovation and ideas-generation in our firm.”
Earlier this year, BDO’s managing partner Paul Eagland was named in the Accountancy Age Financial Power List 2018.
