Moore UK announces new CEO and Chair
Mark Lance has been appointed the new CEO of Moore UK, alongside the firm’s new chair, Matt Meadows.
Lance is arguably a veteran of the firm – which ranked 11th in Accountancy Age’s 50+50 for 2023. He worked for the original member firm back in the 1990’s and has since gone on to expand the brand in the UK. His focus has been to enhance the member firm experience and growing the network across the north, northwest, East Anglia and the southwest.

I look forward to building our existing presence, welcoming great UK firms to our professional community which promises autonomy, a collaborative culture that develops people and builds business, and access to the respected Moore brand renowned for quality, integrity and exceptional client care,” said Lance in a statement today (July 11).
Lance graduated from UCL in 1990 with a degree in economics before going on to work for Moore Stephens in their corporate recovery team. In 1992, he went to work for BDO where he stayed for six years remaining focused on corporate recovery.
Moore UK comprises of ten member firms, with 38 offices and over 2,000 people. Each firm has a strong local presence, providing accounting and advisory services to businesses across the UK and globally from small businesses to mid-sized listed companies, the not for profit sector and private clients.
Moore UK firms are also members of Moore Global Network Limited. The network comprises 37,000 people in 558 offices, across 114 countries.
Meadows has stepped into the role of Chair, having become managing partner of the network’s leading London member firm, Moore Kingston Smith, in May 2024.
