Bishop Fleming reveals new round of promotions

Bishop Fleming, a leading UK-based audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory firm, has announced a significant round of promotions across its operations in the West Midlands and South West.

The new appointments come as the firm continues to expand its presence in the region, following a period of strong growth.

The firm has appointed Dan Phillips as its new Audit Director. Alongside Phillips’ promotion, nearly 30 other roles have been filled, including Senior Manager, Manager, and Assistant Manager positions, across Bishop Fleming’s four core service lines. A number of junior promotions have also been announced.

The promotions reflect Bishop Fleming’s ongoing growth trajectory, with the firm reporting a fee income of £45.8 million in 2024, marking a year of double-digit revenue growth.

The firm has seen consistent expansion, cementing its position as one of the fastest-growing professional services firms in the UK.

Dan Phillips, who has been with Bishop Fleming since joining from PwC three years ago, commented on his promotion, saying:

“I am thrilled to progress into a Director role at such an exciting time, as the firm continues to invest in its ambitious growth strategy. Bishop Fleming has consistently supported my development and that of my colleagues.

“This milestone is a testament to the firm’s commitment to nurturing and advancing talent.”

The firm’s focus on talent development extends to its apprenticeship scheme, which was recently rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is ranked 27th in the UK’s Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer rankings.

The announcements also follow a series of recognitions for the firm, including its recertification as a Great Place to Work® and several accolades at the 2024 Accounting Excellence Awards.

Joe Scaife, Head of Audit at Bishop Fleming, also commented:

“On behalf of our partnership, I congratulate Dan on his promotion to Audit Director, as well as all the other promotions across our large audit team. We have seen audit revenues increase by at least 23% in each of the last three years.

“With another strong year underway, the firm is on track for similar results, further solidifying our position as one of the region’s leading audit providers.”

These promotions align with Bishop Fleming’s broader growth strategy, focusing on talent development and expanding its service offerings.
