Stoys waits for JMU verdict on hospitality

BDO Stoy Hayward will this week find out the results of a Joint Monitoring Unit enquiry into alleged breaches of the English ICA’s investment business regulations. The JMU quizzed Stoys in June, following the firm’s admission that four of its financial planning staff had enjoyed a free Eurostar trip to Paris in October 1995 with Prudential Life Assurance. Stoys has already conducted its own investigation and tightened its internal rules on staff accepting corporate hospitality.
