    Europe’s audit chiefs meet in London

    Europe's audit chiefs meet in London

    Heads of the European Union's Supreme Audit Institutions are to meet with the European Court of Auditors in London today to work towards furthering the harmonisation process in auditing.

    Hosted by the UK’s National Audit Office, the annual meeting is designed to strengthen cooperation between the SAIs and the European Court.

    As well as exchanging information, the meetings are intended to work towards harmonising audit approaches throughout the member countries.

    Jan Karlsson, president of the ECA, will lead the ECA delegation. John Wiggins, UK representative at the ECA, Giorgio Clemente and Jean-Francois, member of the ECA, will also be present.

    Meetings will take place today and tomorrow.
