The deal, which will cover the Andersen offices in Seattle, Portland, Boise, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Los Angeles, was agreed not long after Deloitte & Touche picked up Andersen’s tax practice.
Around 440 Andersen partners and staff are believed to be moving over to KPMG, while a separate deal for the Boston office is also under negotiations.
Negotiations between Andersen and KPMG in the UK, France, Germany and Netherlands were said to be still ‘constructive’.
