The Institute of Directors is urging Britain to compete with offshore tax
jurisdictions if its to be constructive in eliminating their use.
The IoD said domestic tax laws should be relaxed for certain types of
businesses, such as hedge funds, according to
ft.com
In a new paper released by the IoD, it said: ‘If the UK’s tax rules were
amended, hedge fund assets could be held in the UK, with no overall loss and
some gain to the exchequer.’
