Uniform supplier to the Queen measures up new FD

The FD of
Alexandra,
the Queen’s supplier of corporate uniforms and workwear, has quit.

Elaine New, who had served as a non-executive director since 2006, took up
the FD reins last June.

The board thanked her for guidance through the company’s refocusing of its
operations, the introduction of a new senior management team and the current
renegotiation of its debt facilities.

Tim Gifford, CEO of Alexandra, said “On behalf of the company and its
shareholders, the board of Alexandra thanks Elaine for her help during this
difficult time whilst the company has been undergoing significant structural and
financial transformation.”

Adrian Binney, who has been working in the finance team as a consultant since
November 2009, will lead the finance team, but has not been appointed to the
board.
