Financial software giant Oracle has acquired IT security business Secerno for
an undisclosed sum.
“The Secerno acquisition is in direct response to increasing customer
challenges around mitigating database security risk,” said Andrew Mendelsohn,
senior vice president of Oracle’s database server technologies.
Secerno is most famed for its ability to block hackers of large databases and
has won numerous awards through its SynoptiQ Engine which is able to suggest
policies, analyse IT activity and prevent unauthorised access

Oracle said the acquisition will build on its existing products and increase
regulatory compliance.
