ONLINE ACCOUNTANCY software company FinancialForce.com has acquired an internet-based project management product, but not the company that developed it.
FinancialForce.com bought Appirio PSE for an undisclosed amount, with many of the product’s developers also moving in the deal. But it has not acquired the business which built the product.
Appirio is aimed at professional service firms such as accountants, consultants and lawyers that work on projects, and has functions to make it easier to record time on a project and hourly rates.

FinancialForce.com will take on Appirio’s 30 existing customers. A pricing structure for the new product has yet to be set.
