SMITH & WILLIAMSON has recruited former KPMG director Gil Lemon as a restructuring and recovery director.
Lemon was most recently a partner at insolvency specialists Begbies Traynor and spent 17 years at KPMG, latterly as a senior manager
He will be based in Bristol and will be in charge of Smith & Williamson’s restructuring and recovery in the office. Lemon worked the pre-pack sale of Britain’s third-largest mobile phone retailer JAG Communications and has experience in retail, leisure and property.
Lemon said: “Our aim is to provide timely advice to struggling firms in the South West and South Wales so they can carry on operating or, if there is a viability issue, ensure creditors get the best deal.”
“We will also be providing clients with a cross-discipline approach, drawing upon other relevant expertise from the Bristol office, such as tax and corporate finance.”
