Neil Walking leaves the EY’s regulatory practice after four years
EY senior manager Neil Walking has been appointed as consultant in Bovill’s wealth management and banking team.
Walking worked in the firm’s regulatory practice for more than four years, having previously served as head of compliance services at Sesame adviser network. His prior experience includes a four-year stint at the FSA as manager of a thematic review team.
Bovill head of wealth management and banking Mark Spiers said Walking’s experience working for a regulator and advising large banks on the FCA’s wealth management regulations “means he will be able to give clients the most informed and practical advice”.
Walking added: “Wealth advisers continue to face pressure from the FCA to tighten their standards under the Retail Distribution Review and finding a way to meet the strict new rules while remaining profitable is a challenge.”
