LEGAL EXPERT Ian Williams has joined Baker Tilly’s restructuring and recovery service as a director.
Williams, an experienced solicitor, previously worked at Birmingham-based SGH Martineau, primarily on international cases. He recently completed his second term as vice president for international affairs at the American Bankruptcy Institute, and has also served a term as a director of INSOL International.
The hire is another boost to Baker Tilly’s recovery department, which has seen a number of people move out following the firm’s merger with RSM Tenon. Moore Stephens’ insolvency head Philip Sykes also joined Baker Tlily last week.
Graham Bushby, national head of restructuring and recovery at Baker Tilly, said: “Ian is a legal professional with a vast amount of experience in international insolvency matters. His skills and knowledge will play a pivotal role in the growth of Baker Tilly’s offering in this area, and I look forward to working with him.”
