BDO has announced the appointment of two new partners in London and Scotland.
Ed Nevens has joined the firm’s London tax team from EY, where he led the UK private equity fund tax offering. He has particular experience in providing advice on fund structuring, carried interest and investor tax reporting to private equity funds and investors.
Rory McPherson has joined BDO’s corporate finance group to lead the corporate finance practice in Scotland. He was previously with the Royal Bank of Scotland for five years, working in structured finance. Specialising in M&A, he has over 15 years’ experience in advising entrepreneurs and private-equity-backed businesses.

Earlier this month, the firm appointed a new financial services partner from KPMG. BDO also announced that it had welcomed 201 new trainees, with 83 individuals due to join the firm in November.
