WATCH 35 under 35: Does an accountants reality match the inspiration?

In the first part of our new video series, we sat down with some of our 35 under 35 winners for 2024 to understand why they entered the profession and whether the roles they hold now match the expectation they had of the industry coming in.

What’s clear is that entry into the accounting profession is not linear. From geography and classics degrees, to work experience and internships, each winner has followed a different path into the industry.

It is also clear that being an accountant is not just a numbers game – in fact, many of our winners deal very little day-to-day with spreadsheets and financial statements. Instead, their days are filled with people; managing their ever growing teams, and their clients.
