The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has partnered with the Advisory Board Centre to provide members with opportunities to enhance their advisory capabilities and access senior-level strategic roles.
The collaboration, launched in September, is intended to combine ACCA’s professional development expertise with the Advisory Board Centre’s research and frameworks for effective advisory board engagement.
Through the initiative, ACCA members can gain practical tools, insights, and networking opportunities to strengthen their influence in organisational decision-making.
Lucia Real Martin, Executive Director – Relationships at ACCA, said:
“Finance professionals are trusted partners to business, and many are increasingly taking on advisory roles that shape the future of organisations. Our partnership with the Advisory Board Centre provides members with practical tools and connections to deepen their impact, and to contribute to sustainable value creation at a strategic level.”
The partnership offers ACCA members access to specialised learning on advisory board operations, research-backed frameworks for best-practice engagements, and connections to a global network of advisors, business leaders, and organisations seeking strategic guidance.
The hub will also provide curated content, thought leadership, practical tools, and a platform to share insights while promoting ethical advisory practices.
Udo Doring, CEO and Executive Director of the Advisory Board Centre, welcomed the move, stating:
“ACCA and the Advisory Board Centre can empower professionals to thrive in strategic advisory roles, while advancing the standards and impact of advisory practice globally. With their unique expertise, accountants can play a pivotal role in advisory boards – helping organisations navigate complexity, innovate, and grow responsibly.”
The initiative reflects ACCA’s ongoing focus on broadening members’ career opportunities beyond traditional accounting and finance roles.
By equipping accountants with advisory-specific skills, the partnership aims to strengthen the profession’s strategic influence across sectors while advancing global standards in advisory practice.
