Justinthyme?Stuff and nonsense
One Christmas bash we must mention was the unveiling of Cap Gemini’s “We value people who have a life outside work” reception display, described in the invite as a “highly visual display” (always a good idea, making your displays visual) featuring “larger than life-size cardboard cut-outs” of Cap Gemini consultants “dressed in the gear appropriate to their favourite leisure activity”. This apparently includes “Cap Gemini consultants who are taxidermists, rock musicians, fitness fanatics etc. We’d love to know exactly how many Cap Gemini consultants are taxidermists, but unfortunately our editor boycotted the do when it was explained that the “short drinks reception” meant it was an hour long, not unlimited Scotch and gin. Justin boycotted it because it was blatantly discriminatory against people who have no life inside or outside work.
