EY to expand into Canary Wharf
Big Four firm to take 200,000 sq ft of space at Canary Wharf
CANARY WHARF has been confirmed by EY as the site for its new office space.
The Big Four firm said it will be taking 200,000 square feet of office space at Canary Wharf’s 25 Churchill Place, to supplement its London Bridge offices.
The move follows that of rival KPMG, which announced plans earlier this year to move its City office to 30 North Colonnade once its existing lease expires in 2015. KPMG originally moved its headquarters to 15 Canada Square in 2010.
More than 16m sq ft of office space has been constructed in Canary Wharf in the past 12 years.
Reports suggest that EY’s financial services staff will be housed at Canary Wharf, keeping them closer to their clients. The new space can accomodate 4,000 people.
EY sits at 4th in the Accountancy Age Top 50 +50 survey of firms, with £1.6bn in revenues.
