Affinia has named Rob Thomson, formerly of Grant Thornton, as Co-Head of Tax, aiming to expand its advisory services for owner-managed businesses across the East and South East.
Affinia has appointed Rob Thomson as its new Co-Head of Tax. Thomson joins from Grant Thornton, where he led a national Entrepreneurial and SME service team, bringing extensive experience in advising owner-managed and regional businesses on complex tax matters.
In his new role, Thomson will work alongside Paul Mustoe to expand Affinia’s tax offering, enhance client delivery, and support the firm’s growth across the East, London and South East. The appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in top talent as it seeks to strengthen its regional footprint and advisory capabilities.
Chris Annis, Chief Commercial Officer at Affinia, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Rob to the team. His commercial insight and technical knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to scale our tax offering and strengthen the value we provide to clients. This appointment underlines our commitment to investing in top talent as we continue our growth journey.”
Thomson added:
“I’m really excited to be joining Affinia and to help drive its ambitious growth plans forward. I have been really impressed with the way that Affinia combines delivering a first-class client service with a genuine commitment to supporting its people, as well as investing in the local communities in which it operates.”
The hire comes as Affinia continues to expand across the East and South East, consolidating its position as a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs, and reinforcing its focus on providing technically strong, commercially aware tax advice.
