PC maker now under formal scrutiny by Securities & Exchange Commission, and delays Q3 results as a result
The Securities & Exchange Commission has upped its scrutiny of Dell’s
accounts, by putting the PC maker under formal investigation.
Dell stated it was
delaying its Q3 preliminary results announcement from today due to the
‘complexity’ of the ongoing investigation into its figures by the SEC. It has
still not filed Q2 figures.
Reports suggest that investors are alarmed that little detail has been
revealed by Dell as to the nature of the investigation.
The SEC
began an informal investigation into Dell in September.
