LONDON, UK – Accountancy Age is proud to announce the return of its flagship annual 35 under 35 rankings, spotlighting the brightest and most influential young professionals transforming the UK accountancy profession.
Delivered once again in partnership with specialist recruitment and M&A consultancy AJ Chambers, the initiative recognises exceptional individuals under the age of 35 who have demonstrated outstanding achievements across the field, whether through technical excellence, client impact, leadership, innovation, or driving meaningful change within their firms.
In a landscape currently defined by the ‘Big Crunch’ of talent shortages and the rapid integration of AI, the 35 under 35 list has become a key barometer for the industry’s future. It serves as a platform for the next generation of leaders to gain the recognition they deserve while inspiring those entering the profession.
“This is the 8th year that AJ Chambers has partnered with Accountancy Age for the 35 Under 35 campaign. It is a partnership we are very proud of, in order to shine a spotlight on the best young talent shaping the future of the UK accountancy profession,” says James Gosling, Managing Director of AJ Chambers.
“The world of accountancy has been and continues to see a huge evolution with the deeper use of AI and technology as an example of this. Those recognised in the 35 Under 35 are helping navigate, pave the way and champion new ways of working.”
In 2026, the rankings aim to reflect the increasing diversity of the sector, featuring talent from Top 10 practices, independent regional firms, fintech startups and public bodies.
Nominations are now open via a short survey, which can be accessed through the official nomination form. We encourage both self-nominations and peer recommendations.
The final 35 will be announced in a series of ‘waves’ starting in September 2026, followed by a comprehensive report on the trends and insights defining this year’s cohort.
Finalists will also be celebrated at an in-person awards ceremony in London on the 13th of October 2026.
