PW plans M1 super base
Price Waterhouse is considering closing its Nottingham and Leicester offices to create a new regional ‘super-office’ beside the M1, writes Jon Bunn.
The move, currently being debated by the firm, could signal a major shift of the firm’s UK structure with the creation of other super regional offices.
The two offices currently house 10 partners and about 200 staff between them. Concerns over city centre rents, the need for increased efficiency, improved working environments and the desire to maximise accessibility through the motorway network are understood to have prompted the re-think.
A PW spokesman said: ‘We are looking the Leicester and Nottingham offices, but we regularly look at our leases on properties. No final decision has been taken yet, but it makes sense for us to look at the situation from a business point-of-view, especially as the leases are due to expire at some time in the future.’
