Baker Tilly in Dublin move
Baker Tilly has teamed up with a firm of Irish chartered accountants to set up a new practice in Dublin in an attempt to take advantage of Irish growth and business incentives in the arts and technology sector.
The new practice, called BKR Baker Tilly, is a joint venture between the UK firm and the Dublin-based firm of Ormsby & Rhodes. Both firms are members of BKR, an international group of independent firms.
Clive Parritt, Baker Tilly chairman, said that the new firm was looking to set up a client base of owner managed businesses setting up in Ireland.
Parritt explained: ‘This is a great time to be setting up in Ireland. The Irish economy is growing steadily and the Government is offering attractive incentives to companies, especially in the technology and film industries.
‘We hope to attract this type of client to BKR Baker Tilly and offer tax, grant and business advice. We have the benefits of both international skills and a human face.’
Ormsby & Rhodes, one of the Irish top 20 accountancy firms, deals with the retail, manufacturing, sport, art and entertainment sector as well as advising clients who wish to expand overseas.
