Consultant user forum
Trends in organisational develpment now clearly point to a future in which businesses and other organisations will increasingly focus upon their core purpose and competences, using advisers and contractors to carry out other tasks. This, we believe, underlines the need for IMC to re-establish itself as an Institute for Management Consultancy, ie a focus for all aspects of the consultant-client relationship. As part of its own major change programme, IMC is organising a number of client discussion groups in order to learn more about the views and experiences of consultant users as well as to test some ideas about the Institute’s future role. Each forum will have a maximum of 12 participants and will be an opportunity for clients to share experiences with other users of management consultancy as well as gaining knowledge about the effective use of professional advisers. Lunch or breakfast will be provided. The dates and venues are as follows:
Tuesday 19 November 1996, 10.45am-1pm including lunch at the Institute of Directors, London Thursday 28 November 1996, 10.45am-1pm including lunch at the Institute of Directors, London.
Wednesday 4 December 1996, 8.00-10.30am including breakfast, at the Manor Hotel, Meriden, West Midlands.
Friday 6 December 1996, in Edinburgh, 1130am-2pm including lunch at the Norton House Hotel, Ingliston, Edinburgh (near the airport).
If you have a client who is interested in participating please ask them to call Sam Evans at IMC.
