The family of a PricewaterhouseCoopers accountant, who was killed following a row over a taxi 17 months ago, has made a fresh appeal for witnesses.
Tax specialist Jay Abatan was beaten outside the Ocean Rooms nightclub in Brighton while he was out with his brother Michael Abatan. He died after spending five days in a coma.
Sussex police say they do not believe the attack on 42-year-old Abatan, who was black, was racially motivated.
But Tory MP for Worthing West Peter Bottomley, said he wanted assurances that the investigation ‘would have been the same if the victims had been white and the suspects had been white’.
