People: New FD at publisher Stratus
UK book publisher Stratus Holdings Plc announced today that it had appointed a new finance director.
Stratus, which is pioneering the use of its own digital printing techniques, chose Michael Foster who was financial controller at First Leisure until January this year.
‘I am delighted that Michael Foster has agreed to join us at this crucial stage in the group’s development,’ said Stratus chief executive David Lane.
‘He brings with him extensive experience of the retail and leisure sectors and will play a key role in the determining and implementing our strategy for growth.’
Stratus, which listed on AIM in March, also reported a pre-tax first-half loss of £568,000.
Financial controller appointed at The Guardian
Guardian Newspapers has appointed Elizabeth Moore as financial controller with responsibility for the Guardian and Observer newspapers and the GuardianUnlimited website.
Moore has previous publishing experience at Thomson Legal & Regulatory Group where she was FD for Gee Publishing.
