Software providers - Comshare and Informix Software form partnership.

Comshare has this week announced it has entered into a partnership with Informix Software, a provider of software infrastructure for the internet economy. Under terms of the agreement, Comshare will resell Informix’s ‘Ardent DataStage’, a data transformation and integration solution which supports e-business, data warehousing, enterprise portal and business intelligence applications. Comshare will offer DataStage when selling its Decision, FDC and MPC solutions or as an add-on sale into its customer base. ‘We selected DataStage primarily because it would provide Comshare customers with direct data access to SAP R/3 and PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning systems,’ said David King, Comshare senior vice president of product development and chief technology officer. ‘We did an evaluation of many possible partners and decided that Informix provided the best combination of strategic relationship and product function,’ he added. The aim of combining Ardent DataStage with Comshare’s MPC solutions is to provide customers with a solution that enables them to easily access data and make more informed business decisions.
