New multi-user software aims to capture SME market following successful US launch
ACCPAC International is set to step up competition in the SME business accounting solution market, following the revelation that it will soon release the first multi-user version of its Simply Accounting package.
The unveiling of the Simply Accounting Pro package in the UK is expected to be made before the end of this year, however no firm date or pricing strategy has yet been cemented.
When the package is made available, it will face tough competition from the likes of Sage and Quickbooks, but feedback from its UK channel suggests there are opportunities to make a big impression.
Bill Copeland, ACCPAC vice president of international sales, believes the package is one of the most sophisticated of its kind. He said: ‘Hopefully we will be able to roll out the product in the UK very quickly. We believe it contains better visibility than any other product currently on the market.’
The package was released in the US during March, and included multicurrency support to allow a virtually unlimited number of currencies in Simply Accounting Pro.
