CIPFA enjoys strong student growth
Audit Scotland's decision to use CIPFA as its preferred trainer of students has helped the public sector accountancy institute hit its student targets two months early.
CIPFA said so far this year 740 students had signed up with the institute – it had originally set a target of 735 for the whole of 2001.
The institute added its ‘fast track’ route, which gives accountants who qualified with other institutes a quick option to a CIPFA qualification, had boosted its CCAB entrants by 200% over the year.
The number of entrants from the further and higher education sector saw particularly strong growth.
