    Hoyle appointed to Audit Commission

    Hoyle appointed to Audit Commission

    Roger Hoyle, currently chief executive of Liverpool Health Authority, has been appointed a new member of the Audit Commission with effect from 1 January 2002, the position will run until 30 June 2005.

    The appointment has been made jointly by Stephen Byers, secretary of state for transport, the secretary of state for Wales Paul Murphy, and the secretary of state for Health Alan Milburn.

    Hoyle has held his post in Liverpool for seven years. Hoyle said he is keen to modernise and improve services, he brings considerable experience of partnership working with local government and other public service agencies in the Liverpool area.
