Kenneth Lay, embattled former chief executive of Enron, is expected to use his right to the Fifth Amendment when he appears before congressional investigators this week.
Lay, who stepped down as boss of the collapsed US energy giant, will refuse to answer questions on the hearing into the demise of Enron, BBC online reported today.
Lay is due to appear before the Senate Commerce Committee tomorrow after he failed to attend hearings last week after his lawyer said congressmen had already decided on his guilt.
