Illingworth was joined by five other new non-executive directors, all of which were announced by energy minister Mike O’Brien today.
‘I am delighted to make these appointments which give the NDA a strong team of non-executive directors with a balanced set of complementary skills and experience,’ said O’Brien. ‘The NDA is at a challenging period as it prepares to open its doors next April.’
From 1 April next year the NDA will take responsibility for all public sector civil nuclear sites. Illingworth and his five colleagues will be paid £25,000 a year for 30 days work.
