    EMI appoints new CFO

    EMI appoints new CFO

    EMI, the world's third-largest music company, has appointed former BSkyB finance head Martin Stewart as chief financial officer.

    Link: Two senior financial appointments at EMI

    Former CFO Roger Faxon has been promoted to president and COO of EMI Music Publishing, with a view to taking over as CEO in 2007.

    Stewart was appointed CFO of BSkyB in 1998, having served as head of commercial finance for two years. He had previously spent two years as finance director for PolyGram Filmed Entertainment.

    In other appointments news, FTSE250 technology group ARM Holdings has brought in Former Kingfisher group FD Philip Rowley as a non-executive director. Rowley will also sit on ARM’s audit committee.
